Welcome

Welcome to my blog about all things cute and bear. It's December, and it's a good time to start a blog for my bears, as I'll be getting quite a few new characters. I hope.

I suppose I should start by saying I am a fairly serious collector of all things Japan and specifically San-x. How serious? I have characters in my collection like MokoMoko Ferret, and his skunk friend. So serious that size has become somewhat of a concern, and I appreciate the "Small" option of some characters much more now. I'm not a figure collector. The hardest things I have are Re-ment sets. Mainly I own plushes. Tons of them. Almost all San-x. I'm trying to expand my love to other characters. It's tough with Rilakkuma. He keeps being cute. My collection keeps growing.

This is my latest Rilakkuma addition

I got both the Rilakkuma and the outfit from Mira Plush. The plush is called "Fluffy Rilakkuma" - his fur is just a tiny bit longer than standard. The coat and boots are from the "Rilakkuma Rilakkuloset" series.

Some positives about this seller: I can say with certainty as a collector, the items are 100% Authentic and arrived safe and sound from Hong Kong. Normally I'd prefer to order from Japan, however it is very difficult to find Japanese sellers with good communication that want to ship outside of Japan. It's very easy for me to see the items are authentic from Mira Plush. It's getting more and more difficult to tell the difference between fakes and authentics as Rilakkuma has become so popular. I remember when I first started looking for Rilakkuma, search results on eBay yielded NO results. Imagine that.

Not a bear, but I wanted to add this little cutie. Got him from Kawaii Gifts. Super fast, great service, excellent selection of authentic San-x plush characters and other products.

I'm also really excited, because I am getting a Bears' School bear: Jackie - this week. My first of this character, I fell completely in love. I have a couple new ones coming, one by Bandai, and one by Sekiguchi, which is a limited edition of 1000 pieces created from mohair. The seller of the limited one is Puri-Q. Excellent service coming out of Taiwan. I try to deal with mostly Japanese sellers as they are excellent in service and communication, and of course the authentic items, but this seller blew away my stereotypes. Puri-Q shipped the same day I paid. I must also say, that I've spent a lot of man hours trying to get someone to talk to me regarding this bear. A lot of messages go unanswered. Communication issues likely. But Puri-Q was awesome. Answered right away, gave me shipping options, sent me photos of the bear, and posted immediately once I paid. What more can a person ask for? This entire transaction made my holiday season. The Bears' School is much more difficult to get than Rilakkuma. To get the limited version of this bear, is almost impossible. I'm very lucky!

I'll post some pics of my new friends when they arrive :)
